Keeping up with datacenter tech – short post

August 6, 2015 — 1 Comment

Hello IT folks,

It has been a while since I added new content to the blog.  This is partly due to the type of IT work I’ve been heavily focusing on for the past several months (making sure projects stay on track, finishing a few design-related diagrams, strengthening my powershell skills, getting a better understanding of the [on-prem] CMP offerings currently on the market.)  For whatever reason, this has given me a case of blogger’s block.

As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I enjoy geeking out to various podcasts during my work commute (when I’m not in the mood to listen to music).  I just updated my “Podcasts” page with a new one that I really like – Datanauts.  If your work involves anything that is IT Datacenter related and you haven’t listened to it yet, definitely check it out!  Though I currently specialize in one or two of the areas in datacenter technology, I LOVE discussing, thinking, and learning about the “big picture”.

On another note – if you haven’t checked out TechReckoning, it’s definitely worth a visit.  The newsletter (as well as the Geek Whisperers podcast) are useful when you’re trying to keep up with the latest in the industry.

Stace – I saw your tweet. Glad you like the show! If you have a topic you’re passionate about and would like to be a guest, please let us know. Now that Datanauts is off the ground, we want to build out the community. More voices are better. ethan.banks@packetpushers.net
